If the pump or motor to your fountain stops working there are a couple of steps you can take that may fix the problem without hiring a fountain repair professional.
The first step in to check the electrical outlet that you fountain is plugged into. Often times the real problem is your electricity source, not your fountain. If your outlet is working correctly you can move onto checking several fountain elements.
Fill your fountain to the top of the basin with water. If your pump is a submersible pump it must be fully emerged in water to work correctly. Another step you can take is spraying the top opening of your fountain which will go directly to the pump. Often time leaf and twig debris can stop your pump and this can help clear it away.
Finally, examine the tubing that is connected to the pump and make sure it is connected. If your pump or motor is still not working you should contact a pump and motor repair professional.
